48-HR CANCELLATION POLICY

Your appointment is joyfully anticipated and artfully prepared! Please provide Blooming Moon with a minimum of 48 hours notice when rescheduling your appointment(s). If 48 hours notice of cancellation or reschedule is not provided, we will charge your credit card 50% of the day’s total service(s) value.
—> If you miss your appointment completely without contacting us, or provide notice within one hour of your appointment, regardless of illness, we will charge your credit card 100% of the day’s total service(s) value.

If you are using Gift Certificates, 100% of the total service(s) will be retained. If you are using a service series, one of your services will be redeemed for your missed appointment.
For this policy, Blooming Moon requires a credit card number to reserve your appointment(s).

PEACE AND QUIET

Treatments are always in progress at Blooming Moon. Please speak softly upon entering the spa. Please silence your cell phone before you come through the front door and lower your voice to ensure all Blooming Moon guests have a quiet, relaxed spa environment. If you are accompanied by a child (please note our age requirement of 8+ years), ensure you watch them carefully: quiet is necessary to be sure guests receiving treatments are not interrupted.

Service Animals

OSHA and the OHLA prohibits animals of any kind in a spa unless they are certified ADA SERVICE animals. ADA defines "Service Animals" as "dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities". “Therapy” or “emotional support” animals are not considered SERVICE animals. Therefore, we cannot legally allow therapy or emotional support pets into the spa.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M LATE TO MY APPOINTMENT?

We suggest completing any necessary online waivers ahead of time, so that upon arrival, we can send you straight up to your treatment room. Blooming Moon has a set schedule and other guests follow your appointment. If you happen to be late to your appointment, your appointment may be shortened. We will do our absolute best to accommodate you based on what our schedule allows. However, as a courtesy to the next guest, please note that if you arrive late, your treatment will end at the time originally scheduled.

ONLINE BOOKING

Blooming Moon offers online booking for massage, facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing and membership services. In order to create a blissful experience, we do not offer online booking for body treatments, couples’ treatments and spa packages ~ please call us directly at 971.279.2757.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Try not to schedule a huge event after a relaxing spa day (facial, massage or body treatment). We do not have a locker room and do not allow blow dryers to ensure we instill peace and quiet throughout the spa. For the ultimate treatment and indulgence: you may get oil in your hair, leave with no make-up or messy hair and hopefully be wonderfully relaxed. Provide yourself enough time after your appointment(s) to “redo” yourself if you have somewhere fancy to be.

When booking your appointment, notify our staff of:

  • Known allergies

  • Special health care needs/concerns

  • Mobility issues: There are stairs to the front door and to all of our treatment rooms

  • If pregnant, advise how many weeks along you are, and with high risk pregnancies that you’ve received a doctor’s written permission

  • If you’d like to request a specific Spa Provider

PEDICURE APPOINTMENTS: We strongly recommend wearing open-toed shoes to the spa, as Blooming Moon does not use disposable flip flops in an effort to minimize spa waste. Note: We are unable to perform pedicures if you have foot/toe fungus and/or athlete’s foot.

MASSAGE: To get the most out of your treatment, it is important to communicate! Please let us know if there are any specific treatment goals or needs any time before or during your massage.

Age requirements at BLOOMING MOON

Guests over the age of 8 years may enjoy nail services only when accompanied to Blooming Moon by an adult. It is our policy we do not permit children under the age of 8 to accompany parents to any spa appointments, or otherwise be in the spa facilities. For all other services; anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Because soak and steams are self-guided we only permit adults 18 years or older to enjoy these services.

SPA PARTIES

Blooming Moon is Portland’s best spa for hosting birthday parties, wedding showers, company outings, holiday retreats and private events! Maximum spa capacity for simultaneous treatments is five persons. A credit card number (Visa, MC or AMEX) will be required to hold the appointments. For spa parties, we require 72 hours notice for rescheduling or cancelling. A gratuity of 20% will be added to spa parties of 4+ persons.

EXPECTING MOTHERS

If you are receiving massage in your first trimester, please note for high-risk pregnancies only: it is recommended to have an approval note prepared from your doctor before you come in for your massage. When booking your massage or facial, please notify our staff of any areas of sensitivity, or if you’ve been sensitive to any particular smells or products while pregnant. Blooming Moon offers extra pillows, wedges and extra padding to make sure you are comfortable. NOTE: For safety reasons, Blooming Moon does not offer certain types of massage, hot stone massage, or body wrap treatments to expecting mothers.

Blooming Moon does not honor multiple discounts or coupons for treatments done the same day. We will gladly redeem leftover coupons at your next visit. Gift Certificates are non-refundable and never expire.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift certificates are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another person or used for different services or products. No exceptions. To redeem a gift card- you gift card must be present.
If shopping online, gift cards can only be applied if purchased online. If you would like items shipped to you and have a physical gift card that cannot be applied in our online shop, please give the spa a call at 971-279-2757. We can process your purchase over the phone to ship your items out to you.

RETURNS/EXCHANGES

Blooming Moon spa providers strive to find the best product matches possible for your skin type. Sealed products may be returned within two weeks for account credit.

GRATUITY

Gratuity is not built into the service price at Blooming Moon. Tips may be left at the reception desk. Tips can be added to any credit card payment or gift card. Leaving 15-25% is customary for all service industry providers.
